This small personalized establishment is set in tranquil surroundings at the foot of Mount Sullivan, just outside of Port St Johns. It is a perfect place for an overnight stop or for a few days retreat for those who appreciate “getting away from it all.”

The Wild Coast is well known for the prolific bird life and both river and sea fishing can be enjoyed.  The resort is on the road to Poenskop (8 km) which is a world famous fishing spot.

A complete set of crockery and cutlery, pots and pans and dish towels is provided for each room. Although bath towels are provided, please bring your own beach and pool towels.

A pool and patio area is at your disposal for refreshing dips and to soak up the sun. Please note that the use of our facilities are strictly for residents only.

Our four comfortable family rooms contain a double bed and a bunk bed, comfortably sleeping two adults and two children with an en-suite shower and toilet.

For smaller groups, we also offer two twin bedded cabins, sharing a bathroom.

The rooms are fully serviced, other than on Sundays. The rooms are all adjoining and set away from the main building.

A fully equipped communal self catering kitchen is available. Equipment includes a deep freeze, large fridge/freezer, microwave oven and gas stoves and toasters.

Getting Here

From KZN
From Port Edward to Bizana via the R61. In Bizana turn left at the 4 way stop. Travel 30 km to the T junction and turn left.  Travel 110 km to the Umzimvubu River. A few meters before the Pondoland Bridge, turn left down the sign posted road and travel about 600 meters to the entrance to Claude’s Rest on your left.

From Mthatha
Take the R61 to Port St Johns.  About 4km before Port St Johns, turn left at the sign for Lusikisiki. Cross the Umzimvubu River and turn immediate right onto Ferry Point Road. We are about 600 meters on the left.
